Fabric & Care
We choose natural, durable fabrics designed to live with you. Slight variations in weave, slub, and shade are characteristics of small-batch production—they make each piece uniquely yours.
General care
-
Wash less, air more. Hang to air between wears; spot clean where possible.
-
Cold, gentle wash. Use a mild liquid detergent; avoid bleach and fabric softener.
-
Delicates bag. Close zips, fasten buttons, turn garments inside-out, and wash with similar colours.
-
Line dry in shade. Avoid tumble drying where possible.
-
Steam to refresh. A handheld steamer relaxes creases without flattening the fabric’s character.
Linen
What to expect
-
Natural slub texture and a soft, breathable hand.
-
Linen relaxes with wear and softens over time. Minor creasing is part of its charm.
Washing
-
Machine wash cold (30°C) on a gentle cycle or hand wash.
-
Use mild detergent. No bleach. Wash light and dark colours separately.
-
Turn inside-out; use a delicates bag for pieces with trims or embroidery.
Drying
-
Line dry in shade. Avoid prolonged direct sun to minimise fade.
-
If using a dryer, choose low heat and remove while slightly damp to reduce set creases.
Pressing
-
Steam or iron on medium-high while slightly damp; use a pressing cloth on dark colours.
-
For structured styles (pleats, darts), press from the inside to maintain crisp lines.
Storage
-
Hang tailored pieces; fold knits or heavy linen to avoid stretching.
-
Keep away from rough surfaces to prevent snags.
Stain tips
-
Oil/food: pre-treat with a little dish soap, then cold wash.
-
Tannin (tea/coffee/wine): rinse promptly in cold water, then wash.
-
Makeup/deodorant: gently dab with stain soap; avoid rubbing hard.

Linen care: Cold gentle wash, wash inside-out, line dry in shade, warm steam/iron, do not bleach.
Denim
What to expect
-
Small-batch denim can vary slightly in shade. Indigo may transfer (especially on first wears).
-
Denim molds to your body; fading and whiskers develop with time—this is intentional.
Before first wear
-
Avoid light upholstery and clothing until the first cold wash to reduce colour rub-off.
-
Wash dark indigo separately the first few times.
Washing
-
Turn inside-out. Machine wash cold (30°C) on gentle.
-
Mild detergent, no bleach, no softener (it can flatten the yarns and reduce longevity).
-
Wash with similar colours; avoid over-washing to preserve colour and shape.
Drying
-
Line dry inside-out in shade. Avoid high heat (it can cause shrinkage and damage hardware).
-
Smooth seams and reshape while damp.
Pressing & finishing
-
Steam to relax creases; medium iron if needed, inside-out.
-
For styles with raw hems or decorative top-stitching, use a delicates bag to reduce fray and abrasion.
Care notes for black/coloured denim
-
Add a cup of white vinegar to the first cold wash to help set colour (optional home tip).
-
Always wash with like colours; colour loss is normal over time.
Repairs & longevity
-
If a stitch loosens or a hem needs attention, we encourage simple repairs—it extends the life of your garment. (Ask us about repair recommendations in Sydney.)

Denim care: Cold gentle wash inside-out with similar colours, line dry in shade, do not bleach, do not tumble (or low heat only), warm iron inside-out.
Fit, shrinkage & finish
-
Natural fibres may relax up to ~3% with wear and recover after washing; minimal first-wash shrinkage can occur with heat. Keep to cold water + low heat to minimise.
-
Creasing and subtle shade variation are part of the fabric’s character in small-batch production.
Sustainability
-
Wash cold, line dry, steam instead of iron when possible—it saves energy and helps garments last longer.
